The Seductive Stranger


An uncontrollable percussive sound escaped from my chest
as you approach me.
The closer you get
 the more my unsettled limbs expose my sense of disquietude. 
The strength in my knees deserted me instantly.
I have never laid eyes on such a fine human being -
A paragon of a flawless consort.
I struggle to maintain my vertical position as you
reach for your camera.
‘You are so flawless, yet you want to capture my imperfection.’
 screamed my starved mind.
You looked at me with your perfect eyes- the best I’ve ever beheld.
I gasp for breath.
With you less than two feet away from me
 everything around me immediately vanished until 
you parted your ravishing lips and uttered:
‘Excuse me, lady, you are blocking my view’

No Ordinary love

I'm not going to settle for ordinary love, no way I want my love to be one of a kind. I want to wake up every morning next to the person I love and be able to say without a  shadow of a doubt I have indeed married up. I crave real love, no ordinary love. I want a love that naturally allows me to care about the other person's happiness without thoughts about what I might get for myself. I don't want a love that sees only the good but also sees the bad, yet the love remains. I want a love that I can experience naturally and wholeheartedly not one, that is forced. I want a love that depicts pure happiness; just watching this person smile or laugh out loud fills me with intense happiness even if I am suffering or having a hard day. I want a love that even if I am hurt, annoyed and frustrated with him at times, the love I have for him won't allow me to remain angry with him. I want a love that is pure and true. Don't Be Bitter

Life is full of reasons for one to become bitter, but play a different card with life and don't become bitter but be better. When persons mistreat you, devalue your worth, tell lies about you with no remorse, abandon you after you have been good to them, don't get bitter but get better. That relationship ended before it even begin, get better, not bitter. When you fail that exam, you didn't get the job that you know you were more than qualified for but because of politics you were passed over, don't get bitter but get better. When you were passed over for a promotion, don't get bitter get better. Don't let the affairs of life allow you to become bitter just get better, you have one life to live so make the best use of it, don't let this world rob you of your joy, love and gentleness.
