Text Message
I know without a doubt that there's no pleasant way to break someone's heart, but there is certainly a right way to go about it and a lousy text message is not one of them.
How can you send a text message to someone you once love, telling him/her it's over, this goes to show the little respect you have for that person. I totally agree with Dr. Ramani Durvasula, (licensed Clinical Psychologist and expert on dysfunctional relationships) that breaking up over text is cowardly, it's sloppy and it's lazy.
Breaking up is a painful encounter in itself and using a text message to convey that message is just adding more pain to the wound. A breakup text is very distasteful, it shows that you are a very inconsiderate individual and you have no consideration of how this will impact the other person for the rest of his/ her life.
The worst part of it is if you have known the person for a long time, you have grown to respect and adore that person, you were best friends and in the end, they send you a lousy text message to say it's over. That hit home hard it shows that their respect and adoration was a one-way street.
Don't let technology let us become so heartless and inconsiderate of the other person's feelings. If you choose to end your relationship try to find other ways of doing it, but a text message won't cut it at all.
