Hidden Truth by Shernette Shaw

Masked behind reality
Lies the hidden truth
Bursting to come out
But the magnet of uncertainty keeps pulling
It back with its
Mighty force,
The masked was soaked
With tears of longingness
But blindness was the façade
Of ignorance: took the road
Lest travelled by.
Regretfullness unmasked the hidden
Truth
But
It was already midnight.
Consequently, the past cannot re-live.
So, future do some justice.

  2. I wish it was more specific as there are so much truth that lies behind reality. We are so preoccupied with work and family life so we might never know all of what is out there.

  3. This poem is so deep. Just as many people wish, I would love to know the hidden truth behind a lot of life's journey. It would really prevent a lot of mistakes in life. But, on the contrary the hidden is most times what we learn more from.
